About the Team

Brothers Donn and Gary DuTeau began their culinary careers in 1977 when they opened the Café DuTeau in Augusta, Georgia, a collaboration with the great French chef, Jean Louis Gamper. This part of the brothers’ careers would last three decades, after which Donn moved to California, where he founded the Savoir Faire Wine Tours company in the Santa Ynez valley of Santa Barbara County, home of nearly two hundred wineries. Donn went on to move his business to the wine country of north Georgia, where he and Gary rekindled their business partnership. Donn and Gary both appreciate the region’s dynamic and idyllic environments, extraordinary wineries, parks, venues, and landscapes, not to mention the Appalachian Trail trailhead and three of the greatest kayaking rivers in the mountain South, all canopied in Dahlonega’s golden light and history.
